"Naatu Naatu" the Indian Telugu song from the action film RRR beat out songs performed by Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga to win best original song at the 2023 Golden Globes.

Musician M. M. Keeravani was awarded the award Tuesday evening in The Beverly Hilton. Keeravani shares the honor with the lyricist Chandrabose.

"Naatu Naatu" beat Rihanna's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever track "Lift Me Up," Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick, Taylor Swift's "Carolina" from Where the Crawdads Sing, and "Ciao Papa" written by Guillermo del Toro, Alexandre Desplat and Roeban Katz, inspired by Del Toro's Pinocchio.
