Dolly Parton Congratulates Taylor Swift for Creating Hot 100 Chart History: “That’s Sensational’

“I’ve admired her all these years,” Parton stated about Swift who dominated her entire Hot 100 top 10 with songs from Midnights.

Dolly Parton took a moment during the venue of her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony to thank her fellow female celebrity, Taylor Swift.

Talking to Access Hollywood on the Rock Hall red carpet, Parton was asked to speak about Swift’s remarkable feat of becoming the only artist ever to make the entire top 10 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, led by the Midnights single “Anti-Hero” at No. 1. Swift’s Midnights also debuted at No. 1 . Billboard 200 albums chart with the most successful week for any album in the past seven years.

“I love her,” declared Parton who was admitted into the Rock Hall Saturday night (Nov. 5) with the assistance of P!nk.

“I saw that on the news and I think that is sensational,” the famous country singer said of Swift becoming Hot 100 history. “And felicitations to herTaylor – Taylor. I think she’s fantastic. A great writer and I like how she portrays herself. She’s always been an expert. I’ve been awed by her for all these years.”

During her speech during her speech at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, she teased the release of her upcoming rock album. She also treated the crowd to a new track from her rock album which had her stating: “I still got rock and roll down in my country soul.”

Parton was announcing her album rock at the Red Carpet too she shared with Access Hollywood, “I did Elton John’s track and I sang “Open Arms” — I’ve got Steve Perry gonna be singing with me on the song. Steve Tyler, I’m hoping to inquire … Perhaps I’ll just request all the girls as well as the guys to sing along with me.”
